Mohadese
Hello!
I’m Mohadese, I’m 18 years old and I’m from Afghanistan, but I was born in Iran and I’ve never been in my country. I am a refugee; I was born as a refugee and there are so many problems because of that: many people don’t like you and they say to you: “you can’t be in my country and I can say anything to you because this is my country and…”
I had many problems at school in Iran; there were too many differences between students from Afghanistan and students from Iran. Although my siblings and I were born in Iran, we didn’t have a passport or anything like that. My father died in Iran and after that, life became more difficult for us and we couldn’t be in Iran any more.
We first came to Turkey, where there were many problems with the police. I remember that when we arrived in Turkey, we were very scared of the police and one of them told us: “welcome to hell”. We were in Turkey for three months and after that we came to Lesvos, in Greece. When we arrived there, I couldn’t understand anything. It was very difficult for me; I didn’t expect that about Europe. The first time that I saw the camp of refugees, I just thought of how we could live there… but we did it.
It was crazy for us. We were in a small tent in the jungle, outside of the camp, because there were too many people. Refugees that languished in the limbo in the camp and waiting for getting asylum. We were there for one year. We had problems with food, with toilet, with shower, with people that work in the camp or with people that were living in the village near the camp.
There are many many problems all the time:
Refugees and racism
Refugees and government
Refugees and…
We all want to say that we are human also like all the European people and if we don’t have a good country and security in our country, we are not culprit. We just want a life in peace, not more…!
Now I’m in Athens with my family and it’s already 9 months that we’re here. But we don’t even have a date for the interview. And we really don’t know what will happen to us. We’re waiting and we don’t know anything yet…!
We really hope that conditions become better and better in all the countries for every refugees from any country.
Thank you so much for paying attention…!
With love,
Mohadese
